I’m constantly suprised by this tree, it started with some tasty unique figs, and it’s improved every time I come to pick more. An exceptional yielder, with large tasty breba, and large tasty main crop. This variety has some variation to flavors, some figs are honey nectar, some are orange marmalade, and some are more like a dried fig with intense caramel flavors. She produces a lot of fruit in ground for us in zone 5b and it one of the most unique cold hardy varieties we have.  Chiappetta has a great history, it is originally from Cosenza, Italy where it grew on the Chiappetta olive oil estate. In this country it came from a collector in Beaver Falls, PA with the last name Chiapetta.

Our fig trees are grown organically and tended to like kings! They are fed compost teas, organic kelp, rock dusts, and lots of other great things to ensure optimum health of our trees. We then wait patiently until the plants are fully dormant for the absolute best cuttings!
